  This is our go to place - except on Monday when they're closed. Love the catfish basket and the fried chicken. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Plus, save room for the generous selection of delicious pies and cakes!

  Worth the drive from any nearby major city (Tampa, Orlando).
  
  I normally order the fried chicken dinner which comes with 2 or 3 sides, and it's all been outstanding. They have high quality chicken, their batter is great, and it is fried golden crispy. The spice they have on the table gives it an added kick (I think it is called Cactus Dust or something like that).
  
  It's called a pie shop, so let's talk about the pie. They have a huge pie menu and they may or may not have the pie you want in stock, depending on the day and time you go. I like fruit pies best, so have had apple, blueberry, and cherry and all were awesome. I highly suggest getting it warmed (personal preference, but to me pie should be warm, and they store their pie in a fridge throughout the day). The sampler is great as it lets you get 6 slices and just take them home. We did this the first time we came here and ate on pie for days.
  
  The service has been great both times I've been; attentive service, polite staff, always friendly.

  This place is extremely popular, and deservedly so. Must-haves include fried chicken (in any form, and it's usually a daily special), and the pie selection. Also a great selection of side dishes. Servers are friendly, down-to-Earth, and efficient. Just remember, it's a crowded, family-owned place that doesn't charge a fortune for good food, so give yourself plenty of time -- why would you want to rush through a meal this good anyway? Great ambiance too.
